460 km of autonomy for the model, 5 meters long and with four beds. For now it is only sold in China, for 32 thousand euros, but the van from which it derives has already imported into England

Electric campers begin to be numerous also in China, where the hobby is much more recent than Europe. They are intended for the internal market, but a model has been launched that has good possibilities to land in the old continent. It is called Farizon X-Van and has the credentials to play it with the big European brands not only for the qualities and a competitive price (in China, we are on 32 thousand euros at the gearbox) but because Farizon is one of the many brands of the Geely giant. The commercial variant from which it derives is the Farizon SV which has also gained 5 stars in the last Euroncap tests: it is sold in England, where she made her debut in April, through Jameel Motors UK. It will be coincidentally, Jameel will take care of the launch of EX5, the SUV that will mark the direct presence of Geely in Europe, including Italy. Perhaps already by the end of the year.

231 horses of power

The former-vam platform is obviously that of the SV model. The camper measures 5.02 meters in length, 1.98 meters in width and 2.14 meters in height, with a step of 3.10 meters. Generous dimensions for a compact model, which differs from the passenger version of the Super Van mainly for the increased height and the presence of a retractable folding roof with an electrical control, designed to offer additional space during the stop. From a technical point of view, the X -Van mounts an LFP battery produced by Gotion High -Tech – in the 67 kWh or 83 kWh cuts – which promises an autonomy CLTC (the Chinese Wltp) of about 460 km. The 170 kW electric motor (equal to about 231 HP) delivers a maximum torque of 336 nm. Interesting numbers, even if it is always good to remember that real autonomy will be less than that approved according to the Chinese cycle, especially if we consider intensive use.

Top equipment

Among the most useful features for camping life, the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function stands out, which allows you to use the traction battery to power external devices such as an electric stove, a portable refrigerator or a shower boiler. The only level of set -up includes different standard premium features, including the useful load monitoring system, heated seats, heated multifunction steering wheel, heated windshield, 360 -degree overview of panoramic external video surveillance and a complete suite of Adas security systems. Curiosity: On the occasion of the launch in China, Farizon has announced a special promo: those who book the X-Van by paying 5,000 yuan (about 640 euros) within the year will receive a package of advantages worth about 25,000 yuan (about 3,200 euros). Included in the kit: a drone, a camping set, a wallbox for charging and a mysterious ‘Christmas package’.
