Dispute with Barcelona: Ter Stegen makes offer

Next round in the argument between Marc-André Ter Stegen and his club FC Barcelona. Now the goalkeeper comments on the situation – and approaches the Catalans.
After turbulent days, soccer goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen has now resisted speculation-and offered FC Barcelona his cooperation. On the social media, the 33 -year -old national goalkeeper said on Friday evening that he was “unreservedly ready to work with the club management in order to clarify this matter and to issue the requested approval”. It is about the approval so that Barça ter Stegen’s injury report can forward to the Medical Commission of the Spanish League.
According to media reports, the keeper is said to have initially refused to sign under the document. The report is necessary so that the league can assess the severity of its injury. Ter Stegen had recently undergone back surgery after a long break last season.
Barcelona initiated a disciplinary procedure against the goalkeeper on Tuesday. In addition, he was discontinued as a captain, and on Friday the club announced that Ter Stegen in the team of coach Hansi Flick does not receive a number number for the new season (read more about this here).
Ter Stegen now emphasized in his contribution that he understands “that difficult moments can lead to tensions, but I trust that we can solve this situation constructively through dialogue and responsibility”. Previously, the national goalkeeper had given his downtime after the back operation in a further contribution as “about three months”. For Barcelona, the duration of the injury is also of financial importance: only if the Stegen is missing at least four months, can the club use 80 percent of its salary for registering new players. The new goalkeeper Joan García, for whom Barça has transferred 25 million euros to Espanyol Barcelona, and Wojciech Szczęsny have not yet been registered because of the economic situation of the association.
Ter Stegen rejected a connection between his operation and the registration of his competitors in the goal.
