The following statements were used in the message on the federation’s website:
“We have learned the death of Ümit Aktan, one of the valuable names of the Turkish sports press, with a deep sorrow. Ümit Aktan, who played football at a young age but had to say goodbye to his career because of his injury, started his passion for sports. Umit Aktan, as well as many television and radio -made presenter, we wish the Turkish Sports Press to the deceased.
On the other hand, many sports clubs have published condolence message for Aktan.
