18-year-old Canadian Victoria Mboko is sensational for the first time in a WTA final.
At the home tournament in Montreal, the current number 85 of the world defeated the Wimbledon winner from 2022, Elena Rybakina, 1: 6, 7: 5, 7: 6 (7: 4)-and put the domestic audience in tennis ecstasy.
Mboko had already caused a sensation in the round of 16 when she surprisingly defeated the world rank -second Coco Gauff in just 62 minutes with 6: 4, 6: 1.
