Employees of the Gucci fashion house
Around 1,000 employees in retail and logistics across the country have proclaimed a “Stato di Agitazione”, a so -called industrial action that can lead to strikes under Italian law. According to the Filcams CGIL, FISASASCAT CISL and Uiltucs unions, the luxury company is said to have not paid a social benefit promised for 2025.
Specifically, it is about a social package that was introduced in 2022 with an additional contract and was originally guaranteed by the end of 2024. According to the unions, however, the management has repeatedly assured them that it would continue the payments in 2025. Now the luxury fashion house is refusing to do it.
