The impact of the mill is too large, estimates the college, to vibration, sound and drop shadow. People live there 280 meters from location. Previously, Flemish minister Brouns has already granted four slightly smaller windmills in the area. The northernmost of those four, close to Rollegem, also received negative advice.

Even if something can be done on paper, that does not mean that it is therefore spatially justified. We choose to take the interests of the neighborhood and its residents seriously.”
