Survivors of childless singles remain the pinch with new inheritance tax: “They are often under a huge tax pressure”

The Flemish Government is planning to lower the inheritance tax from 2026, but calculations by the Christian trade union ACV show that the childless single is still the pinch. “To ensure that their heirs do not pay blue when they die, they will still have to apply all kinds of artificial handles,” responds Fiscal Expert Ive Rosseel.
