A car tore at high speed on Sunday evening through a residential area at a police pursuit in Best. The police had to tap a speed of 60 kilometers per hour in the residential area, where 30 kilometers per hour is allowed, but the car continued to run out. After a chase through the neighborhood, the man fled out of the car and ran away. Beer bottles were found in the car.
Agents saw the car driving through the Wilhelminadorp when the driver drove away from the police car at high speed. The police started the chase. “At a certain point we drove through the neighborhood at 60 kilometers per hour, where 30 kilometers per hour is permitted, but the vehicle continued to end at us,” the police write on Instagram.
Beer bottles
The driver stopped and ran out of the car, causing agents to lose him. In the man’s car they found empty beer glasses and bottles of beer. The car was towed by a recovery company and was taken to the police station.
After various attempts, agents were not in contact with the owner of the car. The police will find out if the car was stolen, used for joyriding whether the driver had another reason to flee.
