The beach lift is primarily intended for people with disabilities. Many up and goals between the boulevard and the beach are too steep. There are beach wheelchairs available, but they are spread over different locations.
Not in the open air, but indoors
A special beach lift would make it a lot easier to get up the beach. Because such a lift is vulnerable to weather influences, the municipality is looking for a covered and protected location.

Amanda Pellerin is the founder of accessible Zandvoort. This organization is committed to the interests of people with disabilities in the coastal village. Amanda is happy with the arrival of a beach lift: “You will come to the pavilions, but it is simply too heavy. Especially when there is sand”.
