The German volleyball players missed the early qualification for the European Championship next year.
In the penultimate game of the European Championship qualification, the team of coach Giulio Bregoli lost 1: 3 (21:25, 18:25, 25:18, 25:27) in Nokia against Finland.
In group A, the German women are still in the lead with two wins from three games, in the final game against Switzerland in Wiesbaden (August 6), the DVV selection can finally make the group victory perfect.
A total of 21 teams in seven groups take part in the qualification, the group’s first and the five best second are entitled to participate in the final round.
Before the European Championships 2026, however, another highlight is waiting: from August 22nd to September 7th, the World Cup in Thailand is coming up for the DVV team.
