The first thing I would like to say is that Cristian Chivu is not a risky bet. After his engagement by Inter, I often read and listened to this definition, which does not completely agree with me. A bet involves an inevitable risk, and then all coaches are bets, not only Chivu. Who can know how the season will go? Just a magician. I believe, however, that the Nerazzurri managers chose Chivu by reasoning about the pros and cons that this decision entailed (and entails). It is true that he had only one experience on a Serie A bench, in the last championship, at Parma: thirteen games in everything. But it is equally true that if one is not tested, it will never be possible to say if it works or not.
