8140 points for Nowak – 6315 points for sprinkles

Tim Nowak and Sandrine Sprengel are the German champions in athletics all-around. The Ulmer Nowak won 8140 points on Friday (01.08.2025) as part of the finals in Dresden, Sprengel prevailed with her personal best of 6315 points.

Nowak, in the decathlon, after the fourth competition and the bitter departure of his team -mate Manuel Eitel, took the top of the class. Before the final run over 1500 meters, Nowak could practically no longer be displaced from the top. Nevertheless, the decathlon champion from 2021 was probably the last race of his career over. The aim of the Baden-Württemberg: The victory and a time that brings him a number of winners around 8,200 points. Nowak ran home easily, but he missed the 8,200 points with his time of 4: 32.59 minutes by a good 15 seconds.

Nowak’s mini chance for the World Cup

If the athlete of LG Steinlach-Zollern is placed in the top 20 in the world year’s best list, she will still receive the Tokyo ticket. Sprengel is currently in 15th place.

“I came here to defend the title”said Sprengel. “Of course it was in mind that the Tokyo ticket is not yet quite through. I hoped that I could have a say.”

The silver medalist also won her medal with a new personal best. Lara Siemer got 5853 points, bronze went to Mareike Rösing, who came to 5831 points.
