Sporty has long been speculated about another chapter – now it is clear that Therese Johaug follows other plans. The Norwegian cross-country skier awaits her second child and finally says goodbye to a possible Olympic comeback.
On Instagram, the 37-year-old shared a photo that she shows with a small baby bump on a treadmill. Johaug wrote: “Tough intervals and a heavy breath, but it feels so good !!”
At the same time, she announced: “We look forward to expanding our family in early January.” Under the article, numerous companions congratulated her, including the former German biathlete Denise Herrmann-Wick.
Johaug had given a comeback last season and won three times silver and once bronze at the Ski World Championship in her home country. She competed in Lahti, Finnish, her last race-it was also her 50th World Cup one.
For a long time she had been thinking of starting again at the 2026 Olympic Games in Italy. Finally, however, she decided to end again. With her husband Nils Jakob Hoff, she already has a two -year -old daughter named Kristin.
