A hippo calf, three lion cubs, a record number of visitors at Wildnights and Royal visit, 2024 was by no means a boring year for Wildlands. And the park was also financially in the elevator, according to the annual figures of the park.

In total, more than 951,000 people visited the park, slightly more than in 2023. Students, regular fans and even the royal family visited the park. And tens of thousands of people came to take a look during the Winter Event Wildnights, which broke a visitor record with 55,000 guests.

Wildlands ended the year with a turnover of 24.1 million euros, which is an increase of more than ten percent compared to 2023. The profit amounted to almost half a million euros. No huge jumps, but a step forward for the animal park.

Despite that profit, firm investments were also made. More than 1.6 million euros went to innovations in the park. Such as the makeover of the Nortica theme area, where visitors can now spot seals and boome squirrels between Scandinavian green.

It is striking that fewer subscription holders came to the park, because they declined by just under five percent. Although that was partly compensated by a growth of 2.7 percent in individual ticket sales. So more day trippers came by.
