Fazer’s several chocolate bars will decline this fall. Fazer’s Confessions Director Liisa Eerola tells Iltalehti that classic chocolate bars Fazer blue and household chocolate are also reduced.
The size change applies to milk chocolate, dark chocolate, light milk chocolate and avec and household chocolate. They will all be 180 grams in size in the future instead of 200 grams.
– There is a familiar story and justification in the background. The cost of raw materials and manufacturing has risen dramatically, says Eerola.
Eerola states that they cannot comment as manufacturers as manufacturers, but these measures are intended to prevent the cost of increasing cost in the end product.
The first smaller chocolate bars are in stores in early September. After that, the range will gradually change during the fall.
– We always prepare for customer feedback in all our changes, Eerola recalls.
He believes that the change will arouse comment. There have been a lot of size changes in other products and have been widely discussed in public, so Eerola believes that this will not come as a complete surprise to consumers.
For example, the decreased size of Marabou chocolate plates has been reported earlier this year. At the time, Mondelez Finland said that the reduction is due to the sharp rise in cocoa.
