No hazardous substances were found on Sunday evening in an apartment complex on the Struweel in Veldhoven. The police had received signals about this and were present with a number of cars. The fire brigade and the explosive Defense Cleaning Service were also called in. About twenty people had to leave their home temporarily.
The report arrived around a quarter past five. As a precaution, the street was closed off and a number of houses were evacuated. Residents were temporarily housed somewhere else.
Around a quarter past seven the police reported that the job was over. “No hazardous substances have been found. What exactly is, I can’t say,” a spokesperson said.
