The time for Tomas Cvancara near Borussia Mönchengladbach ends, at least for the time being. The 24 -year -old Czech leaves the rental base in the direction of Türkiye, where he will appear for Antalyaspor until the end of the season. Two years ago, the foals paid 10.5 million euros for the attacker, who is thus in the top 10 most expensive Gladbach access.
Cvancara could never really fulfill the high expectations linked to the transfer. In 54 games for Gladbach he came up with eight goals and two templates. The center forward, bound by 2028, came to 28 missions in the Bundesliga last season, but only seven in the starting eleven. His market value was raised to EUR 12 million shortly after switching to Borussia, now it is only a quarter of it. To make matters worse, there was unrest in the cabin for Cvancara at the end of the season.
“This loan gives Tomas a new chance in another environment to implement its potential. We are convinced that this is the best solution for both sides in this situation,” said sports director Roland Virkus.
According to reports, Antalyaspor takes over the full salary of the eight -time Czech national player and transfers a rental fee of 750,000 euros. Gladbach paid the same sum to TSG Hoffenheim a few days ago to strengthen himself with Haris Tabakovic on a loan base. The arrival of the 31 -year -old Bosnian cleared the way for Cvancara towards Türkiye, because after Tim Kleindienst (29) will be missing from the team until November, a gap gaped in the attack.
