Dozens of people walk on Friday morning in a funeral procession to commemorate 39-year-old Joeweela from Eindhoven. The woman was shot on July 15 by her ex-husband, who put an end to his life a few hours later. The funeral procession is in Amstenrade in Limburg because it grew up in a caravan camp. Joeweela is buried on Friday afternoon in a family grave in Helmond.

The funeral procession left around ten o’clock from the funeral center. The majority of people are dressed in black. In addition to direct family members, friends, acquaintances and fellow villagers also join in the procession.

In the local Onze-Lieve-Vrouw Immaculate Church, a Holy Mass is then dedicated to the woman. Many people have gathered there to pay Joeweela a final honor, reports L1. More than a hundred people attend the service in the parish church.

It is all that her family and relatives had hoped for, and what they could do for her. “We do everything we can to give her the most beautiful funeral ever,” her uncle Heino said earlier.

After the funeral, Joeweela will be brought to Helmond, where she will be buried in a family grave.

Shot in Gouda
Joeweela stayed in various stay-of-my-body houses in recent months. The last house she sat was in Gouda. On July 15, she was shot in broad daylight in that city, before the eyes of her children of six and seven years old. The suspected shooter is her ex-husband and father of the children, Driekus K. (53) from Eindhoven.

At the beginning of June the woman still reported her ex. The man was then held for two weeks because of firearm possession. According to the court, there were insufficient suspicions to hold him longer for mistreatment.
