A 20-year-old man from Emmen has been sentenced to 120 hours of work for transporting 67 cylinders and a traffic error. 20 of these are conditional. The man Mazzelt, because it actually involved 318 cylinders. And the punishment could have turned out much higher.

The Public Prosecution Service (OM) has been struggling with internet problems for a week. On Wednesday it was admitted that a hack is the cause of this. All systems of the OM are disconnected from the internet. Employees can still e-mail each other, but not with the outside world.

This means that much prior to the hearing must be printed or that things are passed on by telephone to the parties in advance. Also a change in the indictment (the list of accusations), which was all about in this session.

The judge can only condemn a suspect based on what is on that indictment. The public prosecutor had wanted to change the date of a raid from the garage box in Emmen on the indictment, so that the entire number of cylinders (more than 300) could be charged. But she saw no possibility to do that at the hearing.

The Emmenaar made a catch -up error on 25 May last year, causing him to bump into other cars. The agents discovered ten laughing gascylinders in the Van de Emmenaar’s delivery van. Shortly thereafter, they received an anonymous tip that the man hit laughing gas in a garage box. Three weeks later the raid was and the agents found 251 laughing gascylinders.

The twenties did not deny anything of that. He rented the garage box and saved those things. He transported the cylinders to the traders for sale. The Emmenaar himself did not act in those cylinders, he only transported it. Under pressure, he told the judge. He wanted to get out of the business, but he was threatened.

At the beginning of February, his mother’s home in Bargeres was shot at the warning, where he also lived. He also told the agents this story at the beginning of February, the man said, but they did nothing with it. At that time, he was interrogated about 57 laughing gascylinders who found the agents shortly before in a delivery van for his mother’s home. They were also tipped anonymously then.

The public prosecutor could not do much with the ‘compulsive story’ of the suspect. According to her, it was clear that the suspect entered an environment in which it was acted in ‘hallucinatory agents’. Due to the limitations at the hearing, she could not change the date of the raid in the garage box, she said. But according to her, that wasn’t really necessary either.

According to her, the case was serious enough to demand a 240 -hour work sentence with a conditional prison sentence of eight months. The judge agrees with the prosecutor that the Emmenaar has been concerned with laughing gas: “But it pinches here and there.” Now that the date has not been changed, she has to make a cut in the two different finds in May and June of last year.

“There are three weeks between the find in the car and the raid in the garage, which is too long to speak of” on or around, “the judge said. She assumes a total of 67 bottles. In addition, she also took into account that the twenties may have acted under pressure. She adjusted the punishment to the personal circumstances of the suspect.
