The Flemish Waterweg NV is investing 1.3 million euros in the renovation of three pumping stations in the IJzerbekken. The stations in Veurne and Nieuwpoort get more powerful pumps, which increases the flow significantly. The works are part of the Weather Westhoek Action Plan and must be completed at the end of January 2026.
