The French sneaker brand Veja opened its first store in Denmark. As the company announced on Thursday, the business is located in the Danish capital Copenhagen. The decision to enter the market follows for several years of exponential growth in the Scandinavian region.

The new store is located in Pilestæde 40b, a quieter road compared to other main shopping miles. It is particularly popular with young people with an active lifestyle. Veja opened a business there on an area of 165 square meters, which was designed in collaboration with the Danish architect Nikolaj Lorentz Mentze from Studio 0405.

Wood from Denmark was used for the store design, the furniture is custom-made. Large windows, five meters high ceilings and a lot of daylight, according to the press release, ensure a gentle, warm atmosphere. This design line is based on the Danish attitude to life hygge.

The opening in Copenhagen is the second expansion to a new country this summer. Veja opened his first store in São Paulo in June and entered the Latin American market.
