On Friday 18 July the former midfielder was found collapsed in a state of semi -unconsciousness by a friend in his home in Poole, England, and was immediately transferred to an emergency medicine unit. He was hospitalized in intensive care “after struggling with a throat problem that had been plaguing him for some time”.
