The chapter Fleetwood Mac finally seemed after singer Christine Mcvie died in November 2022 as a result of a stroke. The successful world tour “An Evening with Fleetwood Mac” from 2018/19 with concerts in the London Wembleystadion and in the Berlin Waldbühne should have been the last. There was no longer any talk of Reunion.

Hints on a comeback

But now the rumor mill suddenly boils again after Stevie Nicks and songwriter Lindsey Buckingham shared two cryptic posts on social media. When band veteran Mick Fleetwood also got into this ghost communication, quite a few fans assume that reunification is imminent.

As is well known, Nicks and Lindsey know each other from California, they were a couple in 1976 until they started their entry at Fleetwood Mac. Both stayed with the band (in line) until Buckingham was released after over 40 years in an ugly dispute over the conditions of the 2018 tour. Mike Campbell from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Neil Finn from Crowded House took over his position.
Since then, the tablecloth between Nicks and Buckingham seemed cut. That is why the social media signal, which nobody had expected, wonders all the more. Stevie Nicks posted a handwritten fragment of the joint song “Frozen Love” from 1973: “And if you go forward …”

Buckingham and Fleetwood continue to heat speculation

Buckingham added this text immediately in his own handwritten words: “I’ll meet you there”. A meeting with magical consequences?
When drummer Mick Fleetwood appeared from off and shared a video in which he hears the duo’s song “Frozen Love”, one no longer wanted to believe in a fun coincidence. Especially since the clip on the official Insta side of Fleetwood Mac was shared. “Back then magical, magically today,” wrote Fleetwood in a varied manner.

In an interview with the US magazine “Vulture” In 2023, Stevie Nicks said with reference to the tour together that they all “had a really great time and it was a huge thing”. At the time, she did not want to rule out that she would do it again. “But when Christine died, I had the feeling that you couldn’t replace her,” said Nicks: “When she died, I thought that we couldn’t go on. There is no reason for it.”

Does she still see that today?
