The tour dominator does not have enough. After the successful mountain time trial and the fourth stage win of this year’s Tour de France, Tadej Pogacar sends a clear announcement to the field.

During the mountain time trial up to Peyragudes, the Slovenian already won its fourth stage victory of this year’s Tour of France. The 26-year-old also shone in top form at the second Pyrenees stage.
The cycling star made it clear on Friday that he also wants to and will have a big word in the Pyrenees, on Mont Ventoux and the Alps in the fight for further stage wins.
“I’m not here to make enemies, but that’s the Tour de France,” said Pogacar in the finish area.
Log down because of the comfortable leadership? Is not the order of the day. “You can’t just withdraw if there is an opportunity for a stage win. You never know when it is the last day.”
The clear announcement to the competition: “I want to be honest: the team pays you to win, not to give away them.”

He has to continue fighting for the team – for every stage victory.
“I have a big team behind me that works every day of his career to take part in the tour, and if I decided alone to give away opportunities, the team would not be happy,” said Pogacar.

He couldn’t say no to a tour if the opportunity is offered, he emphasized. He doesn’t care about the frustration of the competition. “When I end my career, I will probably no longer speak at 99 percent of the peloton,” he added, “I will concentrate on friends and family.”
The triumph in Peyragudes was the 21st tour of his career.
In the overall classification, Pogacar has developed a sovereign guidance of 4:07 minutes on the largest rival Jonas Vingegaard.
The Dane surprised with a statement after the time trial. The Visma captain said on “TV2” microphone: “I am happy with my current performance.” The 28-year-old, who still had to suffer a difficult defeat on Thursday, said that he probably had more than ever before.
