In the clubs, the planning for the coming season is in full swing. All important news in the transfer ticker.

This year’s transfer summer has it all. This is because the clubs are allowed to sign players for the first time in two different periods. Due to the club World Cup, the first transfer window for the participating clubs was open from June 1st to June 10th. The regular transfer window then extends from July 1st to September 1st.

Now it’s official: Borussia Mönchengladbach lends center forward Haris Tabaković from league competitor TSG Hoffenheim for a season. This was announced by Borussia a day after the sale of attackers Alassane Pléa. “Haris is an experienced and dangerous attacker,” said sports manager Roland Virkus about the 31-year-old.

Tabaković had scored three goals in 22 Bundesliga games for Hoffenheim last season, one of them 4: 4 in the Borussia Park. In the 2023/24 season, he had become a second division goalkeeper with 22 goals in 32 games in 32 games in his only year.

“I have a lot of desire for the new challenge and can hardly wait to play in front of the fans and feel the atmosphere in the Borussia Park,” Tabaković was quoted in a statement from the club. The attacker will join the team in the training camp on Lake Tegernsee on Saturday.

At the beginning of the week, Gladbach’s top striker in recent years, Alassane Pléa, has left the club and joins PSV Eindhoven (Netherlands). But that’s not all: striker Tomáš Čvančara, who never started in two Bundesliga years, wants to leave Borussia. According to reports, the Czech will switch to the Turkish first division club Antalyaspor.

But it is clear that Čvančara only gets the green light when everything is clear with a successor. There is the “eleven of the Lower Rhine” on the best way, as “transfer market” and “Sky” unanimously report, Haris Tabaković from TSG Hoffenheim is immediately faced with Borussia Mönchengladbach. According to this, Borussia Tabaković will borrow from the TSG, the medical check will take place on Friday.

Tabaković recently only scored three times in his first Bundesliga season. Before that, he played an outstanding second division season with 28 scorer points. Gladbach will be dependent on Tabaković in the near future, after all, regular and DFB striker Tim Kleindienst (meniscus surgery) will fail until at least November.

Bayer Leverkusen also accompanies the debate about a possible departure from veteran Granit Xhaka to the training camp in Brazil. Bayer sports director Simon Rolfes now confirmed that Brazilian journalists only want to let the 32-year-old go with a high offer.

“Granite is a very important player for us, for the club and for the team. Our main interest is to keep it,” said Rolfes. “Sure, there is interest in him, we have to speak to the player to know what his ambitions are. But it is clear: there would only be a transfer in a win-win situation.”

According to media reports, Bayer should request around 20 million euros for the midfielder, whose market value is around twelve million euros. Among other things, the English Premier League club AFC Sunderland is said to be interested in Xhaka. Xhaka’s contract in Leverkusen runs until summer 2028.
