Klara Bühl has been one of the top performers at club and national level for many years. In private, she is primarily supported by one person.
When Klara Bühl goes on goal for FC Bayern Munich and the German national women’s team, there is a special person who, almost always in the stands or in front of the television: her friend. Simeon Stieffather is behind her – as a support, motivator and creative head.
The two have been a couple for almost seven years, connected by much more than football. “We have known each other for a long time because we come from the same village,” said Bühl in a joint interview with the “Bild” newspaper 2022. Münstertal in the Black Forest-where others go on vacation, her relationship began. “You hear from each other, run into the way,” recalled the offensive player.
The independent web designer and IT specialist not only designed your website “Buehlklara.de“but also worked for FC Bayern between 2022 and 2024. “When Klara writes on match days that she is on the way to the stadium, I write a small text in which I wish you good luck,” said stepfather in an interview – a small gesture with great effect. Bühl added: “He always stands behind me, wishes me the greatest possible success. Also that I should enjoy the time.”
After Bühl’s change from SC Freiburg to Bayern 2020, they moved together to Munich. They also show team spirit in everyday life. “If I just think of the kitchen or food, it is already the case that Simeon has the finer hand when cooking,” said Bühl. For that she is the baker in the house. “Everyone has found something that is more fun. I have to say that it fits very well.”
Another classic of living together proves that the humor is not neglected in their relationship: the garbage. “It is always daily,” said Bühl. There are less competitions between the two on the lawn. But in the living room. Because a purchased mini table tennis plate holds up the tension. “These are always very exciting matches,” Bühl revealed.
And stepfather? He usually has to give up: “You have to say that it is a bit stronger than I do.” In his opinion, Bühl gets along better with the pressure. “If it is 9: 9 and it goes up to eleven, you can assume that it will not make the mistake.” It is usually played with tasks in the household. “But I also have to be careful because I don’t win too often,” the native Breisacher continued.
But the most touching gesture does not come from the square or the kitchen table, but from the crochet corner. “One of the first animals was a little lucky pig, which I then gave him a special occasion,” said Bühl, who has already demonstrated her crochet skills for the DFB team. Stieffather remembered: “This always finds a place next to me when I look at the away games in front of the television.”
