In May 2025, Miley Cyrus released her ninth studio album Something Beautiful. In most cases, an album release means for artists: also a tour inside. But the 32-year-old has excluded this for himself, at least at the moment, as she reveals in an interview. It is also about staying sober.

“I wish I had the wish, but that’s not the case”
In an interview with “Good Morning America” on Tuesday (July 15), the pop star opened openly about the reasons why she is currently not going on a concert tour. “I have the physical prerequisites and the opportunities to go on tour,” said Cyrus. “I wish I also had the wish, but that is not the case. Besides, I don’t think that there is actually an infrastructure that supports artists in this regard,” she continued.
In doing so, she also spoke about her past difficulties in dealing with alcohol and how a tour would also complicate this handling. “Artists like Prince who are no longer among us today and had such an intensive lifestyle on tour […] It is really difficult to stay sober on tour – which is an important pillar of stability in my life for me, ”she admits.
It’s not about fear
But her decision would not be because she was “fear”. “I like to do things that I’m afraid of,” she said. “I’ve already jumped from airplanes. I have already performed in front of 150,000 people.”
Live with Beyoncé: A special moment
Furthermore, Miley Cyrus explained extensively about her live appearance with Beyoncé. On June 19, the two artists sang the song “II Most Wanted” for the first time live in the Stade de France-the track, which was represented as a shared track on Beyoncés 2024-Album Cowboy Carter.
“I faced Beyoncé,” said Cyrus about the performance. “If you stand her counterpart, you can actually feel her desire and your passion.” Beyoncé also said female to her during the gig: “I am your biggest fan. I am so grateful to see you and sing with you, Miss Miley Cyrus.”
