“Yes, we have to leave,” says the occupant of one of the boats on the Javakade. “We are being helped by the municipality to various places, which we of course do not fully agree, but that will be fine.”
So some discussion about the temporary destination of his boat, but the fact that he has to leave temporarily thinks the resident is fine. “If we didn’t find that, we wouldn’t have to lie here.”
There is that concept with most houseboat residents, says Chris Janssen, spokesperson for Sail. “But there are always people who are a bit disappointed that they have to look for a different place. But together we try to come up with a solution that is as good as possible.” The first houseboat will be moved on August 4, the last on August 19, 1 day before Sail starts.
