Uli Hoeneß recently excited himself about TV experts like Lothar Matthäus. Markus Babbel has a clear opinion – and once again expressed criticism.

Markus Babbel remains with his clear attitude: The ex-player of FC Bayern believes that Uli Hoeneß is responsible for some problems with the German record champions. Babbel at “ran.de” says, especially in the past two years, the Munich people would be “brutally difficult”.

He emphasized: “I would also tell Uli Hoeneß personally in the face. I don’t do it so that someone knocks on my shoulder, but that’s my observation.” Babbel plays on the Dispute between Hoeneß and TV expert Lothar Matthäus. Hoeneß had criticized the record national player for expressing his opinion.

Matthew had speculated about a possible transfer fee for Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade. Hoeneß reacted sharply – and accused Matthäus of “no longer having all the cups in the closet”. A completely exaggerated attack for Babbel.

“He apparently thinks that in Stuttgart everyone is a bit stupid and just because Lothar Matthäus said that Woltemade is worth 100 million euros, they therefore call this sum.” Top people would work at VfB. “They didn’t swim on the burner soup. They already know what they are doing and do not need Lothar Matthäus.”

Babbel emphasized that he had said the same thing as Matthew. “If a player goes through the ceiling and still has a contract until 2028 and no exit clause, why should I give it up for 30 million? Matthew is right, says Babbel. “And then Uli Hoeneß turns and insults him personally. I can’t understand all of this.”

The former defender sees Hoeneß responsible for the many secondary locations that have developed around the club in recent years. The club has been presenting itself for some time now “just not good,” said Babbel. It was no coincidence that the club World Cup against Paris Saint-Germain and in the Champions League had been eliminated against Inter-although the teams were not better in his view. However, Bayern “did not have this momentum on their side because they produce far too many headlines around it,” said Babbel. For him, Hoeneß is a central figure.
