Two days of fashion, innovation and encounter: the Neo.Fashion. In 2025, for the ninth time at Berlin Fashion Week, how relevant, inspiring and future -oriented could be a platform for young talents.

In the center of the capital, in the Atrium Tower on Potsdamer Platz, the Neo.Fashion united. Graduate: Inside from all over Germany, international guests, industry expert: inside and creative visions. Despite the challenges in advance, it became clear once again: the Neo.Fashion. is indispensable for the future of fashion in Germany.

July 2nd: The designers: Inside tomorrow

Already on the first day it became clear why the Neo.Fashion. An integral part of the academic fashion calendar is: Over the day, over 80 degrees from 12 renowned universities from all over Germany showed their final collections. Also included: Hanover University of Applied Sciences, Giebichenstein Castle Halle University of Applied Sciences, University of Arts Bremen, Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin, AMD Academy Mode & Design, Pforzheim University, Macromedia, HAW Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, Reutlingen University, Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, HTW Berlin and Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences. The topics behind the designs are as diverse as it was contemporary, they ranged from political statements to new material approaches, always accompanied by a clear design manuscript. It is worth taking a close look, otherwise you will miss exciting details. For example, the elaborate 3D pressure on textile from Antonia Dannenberg, graduated from the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences.

At the same time, visitors experienced: on both days a comprehensive digital fashion design exhibition of almost 80 international and national artists: inside. It showed both newcomers and established digital artists. The curated exhibition combined digital and physical fashion worlds and showed that the virtual future at Neo.Fashion. has long since arrived.

Best Graduate Show & Neo.Fashion. Award

In the evening the day culminated in the Best Graduates Show & Neo.Fashion. Award award.
Moderator Hadnet Tesfai led an enthusiastic audience of national and international industry and media representatives: inside, sponsors, university representatives: inside and relatives from climax. It always combined the creative voices with those of the spectators: inside, who were initially able to marvel at the digital and analog theses of the nominated.

This year the work was first assessed by two separated experts: interior juries in the digital and analogous areas. The students benefit twice from expertise and visibility.

The jury for the digital category consisted of Anja Demuth (Clo), Kerry Murphy (The Fabricant | CEO & founder), Verena Brune (Zalando Juxtamode), Laura Buechner (Promptlab | Stoodio.ai), Keke Opata (3D Akademie Stuttgart), Franziska Englberger (Neo.fashion. Head of Head of Digital fashion).

Claudine Duvivier (Founder and Ceo, Tandem), Mauro Grimaldi (Strategic Advisor to the CEO, Richemont F&A Dept.), Anastasios Voulgaris (Creative Director, Burda), Sebastian Warschow (Co-CEO, Haebmau AG), Stéphane Moun (CMO & Brand) went for the analog categories. The tension was tangible when the 16 nominated best graduates were on the catwalk and the allocation of the Neo.Fashion. Awards 2025 in five categories expected.

The prices, in the form of CLO and Fabricant annual licenses, as well as professional Pfaff sewing machines and Neo.Fashion. Network/mentoring packages went to:

  • Best Digital Fashion Design: Flora Schwöppe, AMD Akademie Mode & Design Hamburg
  • Best Craftsmanship: Melanie Parzenczewski, HTW Berlin
  • Best Design: Wiebke Lendewig, Giebichenstein Castle Kunsthochschule Halle
  • Best Sustainability Concept: Azura Barber, Macromedia University
  • Best Global Concept: Jon Liesenfeld, AMD Akademie Mode & Design

But then there were two more surprises. Laurin Schuler (Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee) received an individual price package from mentoring, location, network beefits, film and photo shoot, as well as € 500 prize money as a special price Potsdamer Platz. Lennart Bohle (Pforzheim University) won a trip to Australia to present his collection at German Week in Brisbane – a real highlight and sign of growing internationality.

Thursday July 3rd: Networking, discussing, amazing

The second day started like the last evening: it all gathered on the catwalk. At the next.level.network, a networking breakfast in cooperation with the Textil+Mode association, industry, politics, science and creative people talked. The desire for a strong ecosystem for young talents was noticeable.

With the awarding of the European Fashion Award 2025 as part of Neo.Fashion. the bridge between promoting young talent and industry relevance was impressively beaten again. At the panel talk “Ai in Fashion Design”, moderated by Franziska Englberger, Laura Büchner, Jean Daniel Bussy, Nesrine Zarrouki and Bora Güler, discussed how KI is already changing the design processes today.

A moving moment: The show of the Ukrainian Fashion Week, supported by the Berlin Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Companies, showed manifest performances and symbolic dust of peace, how fashion can develop political strength even in challenging times and be able to get over restrictions.

From 5 p.m. there followed four shows in the Momentum by Neo.Fashion.:

  • Montaha Al Ajeel (Kuwait) showed Couture between tradition and avant -garde, marveled at the audience by the Kuwaitian ambassador Ms. Reem Moohammed Khaled al Khaled.
  • W1P Studios converted the catwalk into its poetic-sensual world, and kidnapped the audience into a sensitive aesthetics with finely crafted knitting designs.
  • Stay Away from Evil presented strong looks, urban rebellion and emotional depth with a twist and musical live performances.
  • Birds of Berlin set a finale with an explosive hair fashion show that set new standards with a wide variety of designs, wig art and pulsating energy.

A day full of contrasts – tender and loud, wild and fine, socially and individual. The Neo.Fashion. Can everything.

The Neo.Fashion. was against particularly major challenges this year. It is all the more remarkable what was possible through cohesion, commitment and creativity. Thanks primarily to all directly involved in the Neo.Fashion., Our team members who contributed to the implementation of this event with their tireless use! Despite all the adversities, the Neo.Fashion was. 2025 a success – because it stands for something: for openness, attitude, community. It offers visibility for young talents and underlines the importance of Berlin as a fashion location with international radiance. It was moments of closeness, creativity and exchange that will be sustainable for a long time. Moments that we would have liked to shared with the great sponsors of Berlin – their presence would have set a powerful sign for growth of fashion. But we feel the tailwind: the encouragement, the passion of those involved and the feedback from the community. With this drive we go to planning a very special next edition.

In 2026 the Neo.Fashion celebrates. Her 10th anniversary-a milestone that will set new standards. Already now it says: Neo.Fashion is already going on the ‘Next.Level.’ Or ‘down under’ … where to go afterwards? We say: stay excited and be there!
