Four party members, including co -founder Albert Koffeman, have now left the Tynaarlo group because of a ‘difference of insight’. Koffeman takes his council seat with them and continues as a one -man group.

As a result, the Tynaarlo opposition party now has two seats. Chairman Richard Aeilkema does not want to say too much about the split. “I leave it at a difference of insight. How you look at politics, how you company it. We have done our best to find a way in it.” Eventually they did not get out of the group and they ‘broke up in good consultation’.

“The difference of insight turned out to be insoluble afterwards, then only one choice is possible,” Koffeman explains. Yet he thinks it is a shame that it ended on departure.

Formally, Koffeman continues solo, but former chairman Harry Snuk, support fraction member Wilma Stuiver and adviser Jan Harms go with him. The one -man group is official from mid -September.

In the coming period he wants to continue with, among other things, the theme of energy transition and sustainability. This way he stays in the sounding board group Nij Begun. “Especially because the insulation measures are very topical, that is my expertise.”

Both men cannot yet tell what the future will look like with the elections on far the horizon. “This was never the plan, we will first orient ourselves,” said Koffeman about his future plans.

Aeilkema says that the remaining party members first enjoy their vacation: “And then we look for each other again. We will continue with what we are doing.”
