Boavista Porto is one of the most renowned clubs in Portugal. But now the club could not disappear in athletic for a long time.

Boavista Porto faces a serious problem: the traditional Portuguese club, which had just relegated from the 1st league and had not already received a license for the 2nd division, has now received no entitlement to the game for the coming season in the country’s 3rd and 4th division. This was announced by the licensing committee of the Portuguese Football Association on Friday. This threatens the case in the country’s 5th league.

As the sports newspaper “O Jogo” further reports, Boavista was not able to submit the required documents on July 7th on July 7th. Specifically, there were no certificates from the social security and the tax authority on a regulated tax situation at the club – both central conditions for the license.

The decision is not yet final: Boavista can appeal to the appeal committee within three working days. It would be an unprecedented crash of the association that has won a Portuguese championship (2001) and five times since its foundation in 1903.
