So far, the DFB women have been doing quite successfully at the Football European Championship. A prominent fan couldn’t follow that yet.
While the German selection at the EM of women is already in the quarter -finals, Jürgen Klopp has not yet followed the tournament game. On the sidelines of an event in the Europa-Park Rust, the former Liverpool coach explained that he had been missing the time so far. He currently has no other competitions.
Nevertheless, Klopp emphasized his enthusiasm for women’s football in an interview with the German Press Agency. “Back then I went to the stadium in Frankfurt and looked at my girls,” said the ex-Liverpool coach. He loved women’s football from day one.
On Saturday evening, the DFB team around national coach Christian Wück will meet Sweden in Zurich. Both teams are already qualified for the round of the last eight. With a win against the World Cup third, Germany could make the group victory perfect in Group C.
