Many were looking forward to it: John Fogerty in person at the Holland International Blues Festival in Grolloo, but the former lead singer of Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) has canceled his entire European tour and will therefore not perform in Grolloo. He does not want to come to Europe because of the war in Ukraine.
The organization of the Blues Festival is looking for a replacement for the festival that will be held from 9 to 11 June.
The performances by Danny Vera, DeWolff, Beth Hart and Erwin Java’s Travel Party featuring Erwin Nyhoff play Cuby & The Blizzards and special guest Tineke Schoemaker will continue.
John Fogerty’s failure to perform is not the first setback for the festival. This fifth edition of the Blues Festival was supposed to take place in 2020, but was first postponed for a year and later for another year due to corona.
