On the Luikerweg (N69) a delivery van crashed into two oncoming cars on Friday afternoon. The driver of the white van was stabbed by a wasp while driving. As a result, the man became unwell and started to swing and hit the other cars.
The accident happened around three o’clock on the N69 near the rear bridge in Valkenswaard. The first car that hit the white delivery van had some damage to the eye. But the small van where the larger delivery van bore itself on the side sheet is Total loose.
Three wounded
The driver who became unwell has been checked in the ambulance, but did not have to go to the hospital. The two motorists who were hit by him while driving in the direction of Belgium were slightly injured.
All three of the vehicles involved were so badly damaged that they had to be towed away. The accident caused the necessary traffic jam on the provincial road between Valkenswaard and Lommel. The road was partly closed.
