Reinforcement for the defensive again: Eintracht Braunschweig strikes again on the transfer market. This time the BTSV uses in Regensburg.

Eintracht Braunschweig made the next summer transfer perfect. As Eintracht announced on Friday morning, Louis Breunig moves from Jahn Regensburg to the Löwenstadt. The 21 -year -old central defender signed a contract at the BTSV until 2028. In addition, the contract contains an extension option.

Breunig has already joined the team, which is currently preparing for the new second division season in St. Johann in the Austrian St. Johann in Tyrol.

Sports Managing Director Benjamin Kessel is convinced of the obligation. “We had the clear plan at an early stage to add a left foot to our central defense in order to be able to act even more flexibly in the game structure,” he says to the transfer. “Louis has been on our list for a long time, because he not only brings a strong left foot, but also the necessary pace and the defensive basic aggressiveness.” He fits “excellently” into the game philosophy and also human to the club and team, says Kessel.

Breunig looks back on the experience of a total of 27 second division games. In the past season he came up with 29 competitive game operations for the Jahn before he pulled an adductor demolition and failed for a long time.

The defender is looking forward to his new challenge at the Oker. “I would like to use the remaining time in the training camp to better get to know my new teammates and the first processes,” he says. “So far, I only know the atmosphere in the Eintracht stadium as a opponent-the greater the anticipation of running up the red lion on my chest in the future.”

Breunig is already the fourth external new addition of the BTSV during the ongoing transfer period. Previously, Eintracht had already brought out foreigners Mehmet Aydin (Schalke 04) as well as the two central defenders Lukas Frenkert (Prussia Münster) and Frederik Jäkel (RB Leipzig). In addition, goalkeeper Ron-Thorben Hoffmann and midfielder Lino Tempelmann (both Schalke 04) were firmly hired.
