Now the transfer is perfect: Nicolás Capaldo joins the HSV. In the evening, the Argentinian signed in the Volkspark, the association did not name a contract period. Capaldo gets the number 24.

Sports board member Stefan Kuntz said about the newcomer: “He brings a lot of energy, mentality and temperament, of which our team in the Bundesliga will benefit both on and off the square.”

Sports director Claus Costa emphasized: “Nico is a very active and intensive central midfielder who acts very passionately on the square.” The 26-year-old is said to help the climber “with his dynamics, the quality of the ball and his courageous playing style”.

The HSV has found a replacement for Ludovit Reis. Nicolás Capaldo from RB Salzburg is considered the desired player of the Hanseatic League. “We are shortly before the finish line,” announced sports director Stefan Kuntz in a media round. “If everything goes well, we may be able to hit an egg tomorrow,” said the 62-year-old. The medical check of the 26-year-old is still pending, and not all details between the clubs have apparently yet been clarified.

Nicolás Capaldo could fill two gaps in the HSV squad: the Argentine is mainly native to the central midfield, but can also appear as a right-back. For RB Salzburg, he has played 126 competitive games (15 goals, 10 templates) so far, most recently he stopped a break and a lengthy knee injury. In youth, Capaldo played for the Boca Juniors from Buenos Aires.

Yussuf Poulsen has been a hot candidate for the HSV’s offensive for a few days. In a media round, sports director Stefan Kuntz spoke about a potential transfer – and what the chances of the promoted are to sign the experienced Danes from RB Leipzig.

“It looks pretty good. I say carefully: we are on the home stretch,” said Kuntz. “One or the other has stumbled, but I hope that we will make it to the finish.” The transfer should be made perfect within the next five days, said the HSV boss.

The DFL set the first five Bundesliga match days on Thursday. It starts for HSV on Sunday, August 24, at 5:30 p.m. against Borussia Mönchengladbach. The city derby against FC St. Pauli will take place on Friday, August 29th – kick -off is at 8:30 p.m.

The duel at Bayern Munich on September 13th also takes place in the evening: it is the top game of the 3rd match day, starting at 6.30 p.m. in the Allianz Arena. On the 4th matchday, the HSV may take place for the first time at the classic Bundesliga period on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The opponent on September 20 is the 1. FC Heidenheim. A week later, the reunion with ex-coach Steffen Baumgart follows: On Sunday, September 28th, HSV will travel to Union Berlin. The kick -off is at 7.30 p.m.

HSV fans need two Pay TV subscriptions to see the games live: Sky broadcasts all the matches on Friday evening and the individual games on Saturday. DAZN has the rights for the conference on Saturday afternoon and the individual games on Sunday.

That means: on the 1st, 4th and 5th matchday the HSV can be seen at DAZN. Sky shows the red pants on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th matchday.
