For Borussia Dortmund, the new Bundesliga season begins directly with a top game. The DFL selected the BVB guest game at FC St. Pauli as a game for Saturday evening.
This results from the concrete start of the first weeks of play, which became known on Thursday. Before Borussia Dortmund can be seen in the individual game on Saturday at 6:30 p.m., FC Bayern will open the new season against RB Leipzig on Friday.
The appearance of the first week of the game is the appearance of Hamburger SV at Borussia Mönchengladbach on Sunday (5:30 p.m.).
On the 2nd matchday, the HSV can be found prominently in the game plan: the city derby against the St. Pauli will take place on Friday evening (August 29th) in the Volkspark.
After the international break, the red pants in the first north-south summit have been guesting in Munich since the relegation in 2018. The DFL also chose this game as a top game for Saturday evening. FC Bayern welcomes the North Germans on September 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the Allianz Arena.
FC Bayern vs. BVB not yet scheduled
RB Leipzig plays for the first time in the following week against 1. FC Köln for the first time. On the 5th matchday the top game is called Borussia Mönchengladbach against Eintracht Frankfurt.
The DFL had already announced that Bayern will open the 63rd Bundesliga season on August 22nd on August 22nd.
Traditional Bayern fans will have a hard time in the first few weeks: Only once does the record champion play on the first five matchday for the classic kick-off time on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The BVB can still be seen twice in the conference.
The other game days will be scheduled promptly. So far, only the encounters have been determined for the weekends.
The classic between FC Bayern and Borussia Dortmund takes place, for example, on the seventh matchday, the weekend from October 17th to 19th. Just two weeks later, Bayer Leverkusen is a guest in the Allianz Arena on the ninth match day.
