The accident happened around 12.30 pm along the Meulekekesteenweg in Dentergem. The motorcyclist bumped into a small van, which was parked on the road. Due to the blow, the motorcyclist ended up in the canal.
The young man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The public prosecutor sends a traffic expert on the spot to find out what exactly went wrong.
