Lara Vadlau usually spends her time primarily on the water. Now, however, she reported from the hospital.
Last year, the Austrian sailor Lara Vadlau voted up to the Olympic champion. Now the 31-year-old had to be surprisingly to the hospital and emergency operated. She reports in a video on Instagram, where the athlete can be seen in the bedside.
On Monday, she explained what was behind the procedure: “The following happened yesterday: I was in Faak on the lake and then it came to inner bleeding. My uterus started to bleed very hard.” She then called her doctor who told her that she had to come to the operation immediately. Then she went to the hospital herself.
She emphasized: “I was really lucky. Because if that had happened elsewhere, for example on the water or in Poland, I don’t know if I would still be there today. That’s why I’m great and everything went well.”
On Tuesday morning, Vadlau announced that she had now baned ten days and had now been released from the hospital. She now wanted to supply her body a lot of nutrients.
