Many have certainly made this mistake on the water shelves of the shops: the spring water had to take, but accidentally grabbed the carbonated version.
Did you accidentally take mineral water, carbonated spring water or Vichy? What is the difference between them?
Finn Spring Oy’s Quality and Development Manager Riikka Pelkonen tells you that everything starts with spring water.
“It’s the simplest product that is bottled as such,” Pelkonen says.

According to the company’s announcement, water that has not been treated mechanically or chemically may be called spring water.
– If carbon dioxide is added to the spring water, it is carbonated spring water. And if the flavor aroma is added to this carbonated spring water, then it will lose its source watering. Then it is carbonated taste water.
Mineral water, on the other hand, is water that contains dissolved minerals such as magnesium, potassium and calcium.
According to the release, Finnish spring water typically does not contain minerals, but are added to the water during the packaging phase. Mineral water can be either carbonated or carbonated.

Vichy is a mineral water that contains minerals in addition to sodium or salt.
Pelkonen says that the mineral waters called Vichy are mainly in the Finnish market. Vichy, like mineral water, can also be carbonated.
– But in the Finnish market I have not come across carbonated vichys.
The bulletin states that Vichy has a hydration on the body, especially in a situation where salts have been removed, for example as a result of sweating.
– All the water lifeses. The actual health claims must not be said in minerals or visses, Pelkonen says.
According to him, there are not enough minerals in minerals to say that they could have health effects.
