The death toll in the US state of Texas as a result of flooding is still increasing. At least fifty people died, including several children. In addition, hundreds of injuries and many people are missing. Most victims died in Kerr County, near San Antonio.

Nearly thirty girls who were on a Christian summer camp is still being sought. That camp is located along the Guadalupe River. In the night from Thursday to Friday, the water in this river rose by eight meters within 45 minutes. According to De Sheriff, 750 children stayed in the camp.

The Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, visited the camp and wrote on Saturday night (local time) on X That there is destruction “in a way that I have not experienced before at a natural disaster.” According to him, the water reached the ridge of the huts. “We will not stop until we have found every girl in those huts,” said the governor.

Large damage can be seen on images: homes and streets have been destroyed, vehicles hang in trees, and some photos only make the roof of a few houses visible
