Long suffering for biathlon star Lisa Vittozzi
Vittozzi had completely missed the past biathlon season due to stubborn back problems. The overall World Cup winner from 2023/24 is making progress. Most recently, the Italian ski hunter worked on her way to the comeback with Germany’s biathlon superstar Franziska Preuss.
“In the past few years I have had the opportunity to get to know her a little better. She wrote me immediately after my failure in winter and was there for me. She also gave me tips because she went through something similar. I felt this closeness. And when we came here, she was ready to train together. I am very happy,” commented Vittozzi last “Sport news.bz” help.
Her back pain is now gone, revealed the two-time biathlon world champion in this context.
“Of course I have to be careful in the upper area, because sometimes I still feel something. But the severe pain I had before have disappeared,” said Vittozzi.
The upcoming biathlon season begins at the end of November in Swedish Östersund. The big highlight are the Winter Olympics in Vittozzi’s Italian homeland.
