I would be reluctant to hand over Hong because, unlike not a few Mainz fans, I think a lot of him. After he actually started the season quite promising, he always looked a bit like a foreign body on the square over the majority of the season and almost played no role in between. In the second half of the season, it was said that Hong had to go down significantly in the game against the ball in order to play a serious role. The fact that he was increasingly used again towards the end of the season and did well in my eyes is actually an indication that Hong will only get better next season. Especially when you consider that he could not participate in the last summer preparation due to the late transfer. Heidel has emphasized several times that some players need a season to get in and that they are given the time. With regard to the (possible) triple pollution, I think that Hong should give you the chance to prove yourself here. But of course I can also understand that this is a good opportunity to make money with a player who hardly played a role last season.
