Transfer probably burst

FC St. Pauli will probably refrain from a transfer by the former Kaiserslauterer rental player Daisuke Yokota. “We will surely do something in the position. I don’t want to comment on the name now,” coach Alexander Blessin will be from the “Picture“-Zeitung cited. A change of the Japanese winger, which is still under contract with Kaa Gent in Belgium until 2027, should be off the table.

According to information from the leaf, however, the amount of the transfer is not the reason for failure. Most recently, the financial one of the two major question marks was in the discussion about the 25-year-old. Ghent is said to have asked for at least 2 million euros, probably more. During his time at the FCK in the 2nd Bundesliga, Yokota improved its market value to EUR 2.5 million. However, his health situation had recently caused great uncertainty.

Yokota is said to have already completed the medical check in Hamburg this week. Since the season finale, he has been laboratories on a pubic bone irritation. It is currently pure speculation whether this could be the reason for bursting a transfer. The representation of the “picture” is clearly in the fact that it was the north Germans who canceled the change. The newspaper could not find out what reason is behind it.

St. Pauli has already signed a winger for the new season with Mathias Pereira Lage. In addition to the sale of left wing Elias Saad to FC Augsburg, the brown-whites also had to accept the clause-related departure of top scorer Morgan Guilavogui-mostly on the right-back to RC Lens. Most recently, the defensive left wing was also fed in personnel to SC Freiburg with the sale of Philipp to SC Freiburg. Financially, thanks to the farewell, there is already a record result after replacement: 12 million euros. The best result has so far been less than half of this amount – just over 5 million euros – in the 2022/23 season. For the first time, the FCSP also generated millions of losses for more than two players within a season (all FC St. Pauli transfers over the years).
