For De Jong, the number 106 in the world ranking, it was the fourth time that he made a second round on a grand slam tournament. He won no one yet. It was his first time in Wimbledon’s main tournament.

Against Kecmanovic, the number 49 in the world, De Jong started very strong. He won twice on the Serbian’s storage and took the set 6-1. On 3-2 in the second set, however, the tennis player grew up in Hoofddorp lost its storage and that immediately cost him the set.
