Vogel did not go “the very last risk”

Vogel had set a record in Aachen last year. The rider from Baden-Württemberg won four CHIO exams and also got on the podium in six other jumps. At the tournament, which was first held for the first time in 1924.
For the show jumpers, the second highlight follows on Thursday evening, and the Nations Prize is, so to speak, the international match of the horse sport. Nominated for the national team, national coach Otto Becker has a quartet around single Olympic champion Christian Kukuk with Cepano: These include Hans-Dieter Dieter with Elysium, Sophie Hinners with Combella and Jana Wargers with Dorette.
Dressage team only with three couples at the start
The dressage nation price also begins on Thursday. However, the German team starts weakened because Sönke Rothenberger is out because his horse Fendi has health problems, according to the German Equestrian Association. It was no longer possible to use a reserve couple.
The national team in Aachen consists only of the trio Katharina Hemmer with Denoix, Frederic Wandres with Bluetooth and Isabell Werth with Wendy. Since only the three best results per team count, the German team can still win the Nations Prize, which will continue on Saturday with the second sub -examination (special).
