Alexander Zverev’s first round game at Wimbledon Grand Slam tournament will only end on Tuesday. The Hamburg’s game against the Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech was interrupted on Monday evening (June 30th, 2025) at 6: 7 (3: 7) and 7: 6 (10: 8) from the perspective of the German at short time before 11 p.m. due to a night’s sleep in London.
After the long game between Carlos Alcaraz and Fabio Fognini, which played more than four and a half hours on the Center Court, the match only started at 8.43 p.m. local time. After a somewhat tentative start to the game, Zverev was actually the better player in the first set, but could not use any of his five break balls. The southern French then won the due tie -break.
Zverev gets the second tiebreak
