Samsung has officially unveiled its new foldable smartphone: the Galaxy Z Fold 8. Designed with an updated, wider format, it targets users who prioritize their device for media consumption, creativity, and discovering new content.

What is the Price of the Galaxy Z Fold 8?

The models are available in Lavender, Cream, Graphite, and for a limited time, an exclusive Pistachio color on Samsung’s online store. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 has a starting MSRP of €1,999. Buyers can also get a trade-in bonus of up to €980 for their old devices.

Double Storage + Discount: 512 GB Now for €1,709

Initially, Samsung did not pair the Fold 8 launch with a storage promotion. Surprisingly, a new offer has emerged in the Samsung shop, allowing customers to order the 512 GB version for the price of the 256 GB model. However, you must actively select the 512 GB option on the shop page, as an automatic upgrade in the cart is not available.

Additionally, you can use our promo code allroundz8 to save another 15%. This brings the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, equipped with 512 GB of storage, down to €1,709 (buy here). This results in a discount of nearly €500, making the compact Fold 8 a tempting option, even during the pre-order phase.

New Format Offers a Wider Main Display

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 features an internal 4:3 main display measuring 7.6 inches and a 5.5-inch external display in a 16:10 format. This design vaguely resembles the rumored iPhone Ultra, expected to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro in September. Thanks to the wider construction, the overall design appears shorter and more manageable than previous Fold models, providing a practical balance for reading content and viewing photos.

For enhanced durability, Samsung utilizes a technology known as “Flex Titanium.” A film made from a titanium alloy—thinner than a human hair—is combined with a stabilizing titanium plate beneath the display. This unique structure allows for folding while significantly reducing the visibility and feel of the crease in the center. Additionally, the entire display unit is 10% thinner compared to the previous generation.

Sleek Design and Adapted Hinge

Visually, the Fold 8 resembles a combination of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy S25 Edge. Weighing 201 grams, it is the lightest foldable phone from the manufacturer to date. When opened, the water-resistant housing is only 4.5mm thick, while in the closed state, it measures 9.7mm. The new case edge assists in easing the opening process. The hinge has also been refined to make opening and closing smoother. However, this means the smartphone won’t hold itself up in Flex Mode at certain angles.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 Features Only Two Cameras

The camera system includes two 50-megapixel sensors for the main and ultra-wide cameras. As there is no dedicated telephoto lens, zoom levels are achieved digitally. For video calls and selfies, there are 10-megapixel front cameras on both the inside and outside.

Under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 drives the necessary performance. The device is powered by a 4,800 mAh battery that employs a silicon-carbon anode for higher energy density and improved heat management. It supports wired charging of up to 45 watts and wireless charging of up to 20 watts.
