“Yes, it was a good round, for sure,” the Brit laughed in the flash interview afterwards. “My first attempt in Q3 was already good, but there were still places where I left something. So if I did well, I could be harder and I succeeded very well. I did what I had planned.”

“So far it is a very good weekend, hopefully we can hold this,” Norris continues. “The season is long, so I cherish this moment. I have not always had it easy in qualifying this season, so to put down such a round, that does me good. Now I want to continue prove myself.”
Charles Leclerc happy with new parts
Charles Leclerc also starts on the first row on Sunday. “I think that is the first time for us since Monaco. We have some new parts this weekend that certainly made a difference. It is a good start to the weekend and normally we have a better car for the race. Hopefully I can put some pressure on the McLaren tomorrow.”
